 Tor Notes

I couldn't find any sign of Foggin Tor itself which wasn't a surprise as I believe it was probably consumed in the large quarry that can be found in that area. The stone mined at Foggintor was mainly used to build the town of Princetown & nearby Dartmoor Prison as well as being transported further afield to Plymouth. The quarry ceased operation in the 1930s.

Difficulty: Easy to reach, however great care must be taken if you walk to the tops of the quarry cliffs as there are no barriers to prevent you falling over the edge.
