Tor Notes

Penn Beacon sits high above the Lee Moor china clay works, not the prettiest of things to have in the view however the rest of the Moor looks stunning. Marked with a cairn and a Trig Point at the apex of the hill.

Parking

Park your car just south (SX 60750 61240) of East Rook Gate. There isn't much room for cars but you can park it on the verge just before the track stars. Please be aware that there is a lot of farm machinery movement in the area so please don't block gates and tracks.

Bogs

No bogs immediately around Penn Beacon although the ground between Penn Beacon and Shell Top can become waterlogged in wet weather
