Great Trowlesworthy Tor sits alongside it's smaller cousin on Lee Moor. The tor itself is a massive granite stack surrounded by the remains of the pink granite quarrying operation that took place there in the mid-1800s.
There are plenty of places to park to reach Little Trowlesworthy. Two populate ones are Trowlesworthy Car Park (SX563644) and Blackaton Cross (SX570631)
There is boggy ground south of Great Trowlesworthy Tor and to the west at Blacka Brook
Great Trowlesworthy Tor does not lie near any of the ranges
